Southern WV Fishing Expo

LiKENeers will be attending the Fishing Expo organized by our partners Friends of the Tug Fork River on February 21 at the Williamson Field House in Mingo County, West Virginia. We will be speaking about our Forest Livelihoods programming in southern West Virginia, which supports local residents looking to produce forest-originated commodities like medicinal roots & herbs, maple syrup, mushrooms, and more. We have also invited an attorney to the Fishing Expo to speak about getting and giving permits for accessing and using private lands in West Virginia. This presentation is aimed at both landowners (who are looking to grant land-use permits) and producers (who are looking to access and use private land they do not own).
