About the event

Family land, or heirs’ property, can be a source of pride and wealth for generations. However, the complexity of legally sharing ownership of land can open families up to challenges and even make them vulnerable to losing their land — especially if the family does not have records that clearly document ownership.

This free event seeks to help families preserve their ownership.  Participants will have an opportunity to:

  • Meet and learn from expert attorneys & county record keepers

  • Learn about strategies for resolving title to heirs’ property

  • Connect with free resources and programs, including the Appalachian Heirs’ Property — a free program offered by LiKEN Knowledge supporting family land ownership in Kentucky
