About the event

Across the United States, millions of households are struggling to afford safe, reliable water and sanitation. Yet, the rising cost of water is rarely just about the bill itself. Aging infrastructure, climate stress, rural geography, and decades of deferred investment are creating challenges that local utilities and communities cannot solve alone.

Join the Water Equity & Climate Resilience Caucus for a virtual film screening featuring two documentaries from the Water Affordability for All campaign. Through the stories of Martin County, Kentucky and Laredo, Texas, we go behind the bill to explore the real drivers of the U.S. water affordability crisis and the solutions communities are fighting for. The screening will be followed by a moderated panel discussion and an invitation to join the call for safe, affordable water ahead of Water Week 2026.
